Horizontal ruler will work if it's invisible, which I guess it is on most WordPress sites. You can also add

in text mode to get the same effect.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had enabled keyboard navigation in wp-admin, but not in public.

The focus idea worked great, so support for keyboard events(left arrow and right arrow) has been added today.

I'm not able to reproduce this problem. Do you have the random property turned on for your tactic puzzles?, i.e. [chess random=1....]

If yes, that may be the reason. Previous only works when the puzzles are loaded in sequence.
